Hm...I'll have to check it out. I've been known to wade through a few things before. Sometimes it's worth it to study the author's skill and methods of writing. The nice thing about PbS is it's pretty much risk-free. :) Thanks for the tip.

I recommend it highly, but only if you're a discerning reader who doesn't mind some adult content. I skimmed several scenes, and there are some fairly heavy events in the course of the story. I found it very spiritually significant, but again, you have to be able to sort out truth by yourself, because there's a lot of other stuff. I don't usually recommend books with this level of content, but in this case I think they're worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion of PaperbackSwap!

No, I haven't read the Fionavar Tapestry. It looks interesting. Do you recommend it? I love the PaperbackSwap.com web site for trading books and I see they have copies available.

I think I must relate to absent-minded, befuddled people, because Wizard Fenworth and Lady Peg were my favourites. I could listen to them talk all day :). Your comments on Librettowit reminded me that when I was reading the book, he and Fenworth reminding me of another wizard/dwarf pairing in fantasy fiction -- but in a series meant very much for adults. Have you ever read Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry?

Man, I just realized I should have asked you all to promote the library contest we are running. You could win a box of WaterBrook books or a visit from me to your library (public or school.) Check out the front page of my website. www.donitakpaul.com.
